Concrete work began today as the contractors prepared to pour the rear section of the auditorium. This will make way for ADA seating.

Lobby gets framed...
The lobby has been gutted and the guys have started framing the new look. An arched entryway, a 14 foot ceiling and new walls from the studs up.

New water main goes in for sprinkler system.
It's not sexy, but to install a sprinkler system the theatre needs a whole new water service. That means tearing up bricks, sidewalks, etc. No bones or bodies found have been found (yet).

UNK's Big Event Helps the World
A big thank you goes out to all the guys who helped cleanup/organize the World for UNK's Big Event Weekend. We are now waiting for approval on the plans from the city and then we can start getting bids for the project. Its so close!

We've taken down the our old website during our renovation process, and put up our temporary construction page, where you can access our new World Theatre Construction Blog to keep up where we're at on the renovation process! Original Organ Found
The original organ from the World Theatre has been found living in Texas. The owner contacted us and has graciously donated the organ and its safe return back to the theatre. The organ will need a lot of restoration work so if you know of anyone who would like to help please email us at info@theworldtheatre.org
